“Can Anyone
Buy Google Ads?”
Toledo.com specializes in the launch of Google AdWords and long term AdWord Management for small to medium sized companies. Adwords are the ads you see on the tops of Google keyword searches.
We had a meeting today and our client said “anyone can buy google ads”... I thought ‘yes’ he is right but I have to tell him the truth. “Yes, Anyone can. But you can really get burnt if you don’t understand the basics rules of the game. It is developing into a art”.
It is my personal opinion that you can do it yourself, but it might be a good idea to have Toledo.com help you for the first few weeks so you don’t end up loosing money on a learning curve.

Google Tips
Here are just a few tips & tricks we use for Google Ads:
Start slow and start with a limit on your buying. Say $10 a day until you establish what it will take to be in the top 3 positions. Starting to fast is a bad idea.
Start with many combinations of your keywords. You will need to average down your expensive words with less expensive buys. for instance you may be paying $3 a click for “cd duplication” and be getting good clicks. But you need to also buy cheaper 3 and 4 word combos like “fast cd duplication”, “overnight cd replication”, “speedy cd duplication”. On average you will see that 3 and 4 word combos cost less—> much less.. So I bulk up on the lower cost word combinations (and mis-spellings) that still get clicks. You just need a lot of them to average down your click costs.
Be sure to track your results via a tracking URL. We suggest that you don’t use the system built into google. Try one of the 3rd party tools that we have been using for years to track actual purchases from each click. You MUST track the keword click to a end result – we call it a conversion. A conversion can be a purchase, a form being filled out or a database search etc.
Use a few different “sell” messages. A sell message is a the actual ad that people see in google search results. You will find that some convert to sales better then others. Be sure to freshen them up and keep working them until you get a good conversion rate.
Remember that it is not the highest bid that gets the highest position. From my experience it is the ads that get the most clicks that get the top positions – in Google terms – the ones with the best AdRanking. You want to get to the top by showing Google that your ads will convert— yours get more clicks then the next guys.
We know how to get your account set-up and how to reduce the cost of learning and increase your ROI. We have a target of new customer acquisition costing you less then 15% of the sale – lets us show you how.
Most of our search engine clients start out with a 15 hour budget for the first 2 months. Request a quote or call us at 419-776-7000×102 for more details.
